How do I get my website to show up on Google?
By filling in each page title and description; the sitemap is generated and submitted automatically.

The technical part is done: your website generates its own sitemap and tells Google what it can index, without you touching anything.
What does depend on you:
- Title and description of each page, in My website › Pages. Write them thinking of what someone would type ("hairdresser in Brighton"), not just your trade name.
- Real content: services with descriptions, photos, address and opening hours. A page with three sentences does not compete with one that explains what you do.
- Your own domain, if your plan includes it: it inspires more trust and does not break if you ever change subdomain.
- Favicon and sharing image, in Site settings: that is what shows when someone pastes your link into WhatsApp.
If you publish your website in several languages, only the language that is actually translated is offered to Google: publishing the same page in nine languages with the same text hurts rather than helps.
Google takes its time: count days or weeks before you appear, not minutes.
